 Well, right-clicking on an XMPP chat room (not a buddy) has offered an
 "Auto-join" checkbox for a long time in Pidgin, which alters the behaviour
 of Pidgin as described above. I don't think this is XEP-0048 we're talking
 about here (although, does XEP-0048 overlap in functionality?), but rather
 a feature of Pidgin. If this is correct, then this bug should probably
 stay.
