 I just want to point out that it's not necessarily a bad idea for other
 people to be able to revoke the authorization that they have previously
 granted you.  I believe MSN and XMPP (and maybe Yahoo) support this.  It
 seems like this is kind of the equivalent for ICQ (with the added step of
 removing the person from your roster).

 But yeah, I also doubt this is something we can control.
