 For the record I can recreate this issue, no idea what is going on other
 than that I think it most likely to be a GTK+ issue. At a guess this is
 likely related to the status of the window when minimized (and a GTK+
 failure to accept input as a result), as it appears that that is the
 crucial factor in recreating the issue.
