Comment:

 The value for idleaway in the prefs.xml is a value that is not found in
 the status.xml. I closed pidgin, set the value to 0, and started pidgin
 again. I then set (in the gui) the away status to change to to offline.
 Then I closed pidgin. Then I started pidgin back up. The setting reverted
 to the unwanted change to away status. I also tried this with an empty
 string, both did not work.
