 Display names may change, but email addresses are not. I don't like to use
 mouse and my eyes to search in a buddy list with hundreds of entries.

 Pidgin 2.5.5 supports buddy list searching with CTRL+F, but it only
 searches within the display names, not email addresses.

 I'm new from MSN/Mercury to pidgin, and I miss this feature very much. The
 attached file is a small(and dirty) patch to fulfill my own needs. I hope
 pidgin can have this feature in future releases.
