 Do your accounts get lost if you restart pidgin and/or the computer
 without pidgin crashing?

 pidgin should be doing everything it can to ensure that it does not
 corrupt the accounts files, but if your file system itself doesn't play
 along there isn't anything we can do.

 What plugins do you have loaded? Some plugins have been known to cause
 pidgin to write invalid data to the accounts.xml which then breaks the
 loading of the accounts the next time.

 "waiting for network connection" means that NetworkManager has told us you
 do not have an active network connection and so we are waiting for one to
 become active before we attempt to connect.

 In the pidgin debug output (-d output) we are looking for any messages
 related to loading or reading the files which are being corrupted (in this
 case it sounds like just accounts.xml).
