 This lack of this feature in Pidgin, along with the lack of support for
 setting invisibility mode for individual users/groups, are the only
 reasons I still use Yahoo!Messenger instead of Pidgin on Windows. But on
 Linux there's no choice in the matter, so I have to log in to Windows &
 Yahoo!Messenger every now and then to check Offline messages left to my
 other profiles.

 So yeah, it's an essential feature which I'm hoping to see implemented in
 the future :-)
