Comment:

 No, if I "get info" I do not see the correct icon.

 In addition, the problem persists even if I delete/re-create the account
 in Pidgin, and also if I clear the .purple/icons directory.

 This is on Pidgin 2.5.5 on Ubuntu 9.04.
