 Thank you for the expanation.

 About signing in as invisible, it has never worked for me not even once
 but as the first response said, I will wait for 2.6.

 About the default saved status being away, since you have signalled that
 there is support in the protocol itself, my preference would be to have it
 set to whatever it was last set to, to give me a bit of a choice in what
 is otherwise not an ideal situation.

 Regarding disappearing status when changing live status are you referring
 to on-the-fly status generally? I don't know why it would be confusing to
 always display the same message until the user changes it themselves, this
 seems to be the way it's done with normal IM applications, so why the
 divergence here?

 I hope I'm understanding because I don't see why my personal message
 should need to change just because I've gone away or become busy or
 whatever.
