If it helps, I'm using Pidgin version 2.5.6 and I'm on Windows XP Pro with
service pack 3. From my experience this is happening on the only two
messengers I use, AIM and MSN. I'm having the same exact problem as
 described here:

 http://developer.pidgin.im/ticket/2657

It says it's fixed but I can't find a fixed version of the plugin. I also
can't find anymore info on this problem. I looked all over that post and I
only see a link to something that I'm not sure if it's relevant (or maybe
I'm overlooking the download link to the fixed plugin?). Either way did
anyone fix this, or is anyone still having this problem? The problem is
just like its described there, screenshots and all. If I make a note with
Buddy Notes and use shift + enter to make any new lines, when I save the
note the only info it shows about the buddy on the tooltip is the screen
name and their display picture. If I type the note as one continuous
paragraph, it shows the note and the rest of the information on the buddy
(but it doesn't make for organizing very well). Also any text formatting I
do when editing the notes (like bold and italics) doesn't carry over to
the tooltips (but not sure if it's suppose to). Anyway I'd much appreciate
it if anyone could point me to any possible fixed Buddy Notes plugin.
