New description:

 When I try to install Pidgin 2.5.6 on my WinXP, a DOS window is opened and
 an alert is displayed: "The NTVDM CPU has encountered an illegal
 instruction.Choose 'Close' to terminate the application.", when it tries
 to install Aspell.

 If I choose Close, the setup finishes and I can run Pidgin, but i'm not
 able to download and install any plugin. Everytime I try it it gives me
 the same alert.

 I've tried to install Pidgin in 3 computers and re-downloaded the setup,
 but the alert still remain.
