Comment:

 Connection errors do not disable accounts unless the errors are such that
 signing the account back on is incorrect or will never succeed. So invalid
 password errors might disable accounts (I forget if we consider them fatal
 or not at the moment), signing on from somewhere else will disable an
 account (when the protocol doesn't support simultaneous logins), etc. but
 simple network errors will not disable accounts.

 The icon shows the global status, disabled accounts have no status and do
 not affect the global status. I appreciate why you want this, however I
 think it complicates an icon people already think shows too much (and
 simultaneously thinks doesn't show enough) and breaks the conceptual model
 of what the icon shows.

 I'm open to further discussion of ways to improve the usability of how we
 handle disabling accounts not sure messing with the tray icon is a good
 plan.
