 Changing the group someone is in seems like a heavy-handed way to get them
 sorted differently than normal buddies, which I'm assuming is the point:
 keeping the mobile buddies separate from the non-mobile buddies. If pidgin
 is set up to sort groups by status then I believe mobile buddies should be
 sorted into their own range in the group, this may be enough for what you
 want. If not, there is also a patch that has been in the works for quite a
 while to allow users to selectively hide buddies based on their status
 which would mean you could hide all mobile buddies, if that is closer to
 what you want.

 What is your ultimate goal with this request, that is why do you want the
 group changed?
