 I recently switched to Pidgin, and I know for a fact the two people I'm
 having this trouble with have white text on a black background. However,
 Pidgin reads their IMs as having white on white and I have to highlight
 everything just to read it.

 I think a simple solution to this would be a plugin that could just make
 it uniform. Make everyones incomming text appear in the same format as
 mine...hell, even if it just did TNR 12pt. black on white background I'd
 be fine.
