 It looks like there is a subtle protocol difference. There are two forms
 of what GTalk can use, a newer one and an older one. I'm not sure if
 Asterisk is implementing the one and Pidgin is implementing the other, but
 Asterisk is sending its transports in <transport> nodes whereas Pidgin
 doesn't recognize these and I suppose isn't receiving any transports then.
