New description:
Hi
notify-osd (/usr/lib/notify-osd/notify-osd) is very annoying to me because
it shows every message I receive so I decided to make the file not
executable (chmod -x).[[BR]]
That works as expected but now every time I start pidgin and click on the
"X" to minimize pidgin to tray it instead closes completely like
ctrl+q.[[BR]]
I would prefer if it also minimized to tray even notify-osd isn't running
or executable.
Current workaround:[[BR]]
chmod +x notify-osd (as root)[[BR]]
start pidgin[[BR]]
chmod -x notify-osd (as root)[[BR]]
kill notify-osd process[[BR]]
Ubuntu 9.10[[BR]]
Pidgin 2.6.3 (from http://ppa.launchpad.net/pidgin-developers/ppa/ubuntu
via Synaptics)
