Comment:

 Messages are not set to be hidden by default.

 I am talking about IM windows (one to one)

 The message notification plugin is loaded.

 The options are:
   Notify for:
     IM windows (checked)

 Notification windows:
   Raise conversation window (checked)
   Present conversatio window (checked)

 Notification removal:
   Remove when conversation window gains focus (checked)
   Remove when typing in conversation window (checked)
   Remove when a message gets sent (checked)


 Exactly what I want to have happen on new messages:
   I want the message window to pop open on the screen.
   It does not matter if it is a new message or an additional message in an
 existing conversation
