 I was also experiencing this problem using Windows 7 Professional, Windows
 7 Ultimate, and the Windows 7 RC.  After fidgeting around with the AIM
 settings, I discovered that the problem occurs when "Allow multiple
 simultaneous logins" is checked.  Unchecking this and then logging back
 into AIM causes the buddy list to reappear.  After logging in with the box
 unchecked the first time, I am able to recheck the option and logon
 successfully.
