 Please follow [wiki:GetABacktrace the instructions] to get a backtrace and
 attach it to this ticket.[[BR]]Papering over an issue (the
 g_return_val_if_fail checks should be read as "This should not happen.
 It's a bug if it happens.") of someone calling that function with NULL by
 adding in an "if(null) return" check that cannot be compiled out is wrong.

 Please attach a backtrace of this crashing so we can fix what's actually
 going on here.
