Comment(by Gascogne):

 The memory leak happens when the program crashes but doesn't shutdown in
 the crash.
 The memory usuage keeps going up to 1.8Gb and there it stops.

 Don't know how to reproduce it exactly other than my computer is on 24/7
 along with Pidgin and sometimes one cannot type anything in Pidgin and
 here is the crash which starts eating memory.
