 It's worse in 2.6.3

 Pidgin doesn't receive ANY formatting info if two people are using
 formatting and 2.6.3.

 However, font formatting from AIM still shows foreground color. As do
 users on AIM see formatting from Pidgin.  Which is odd as Pidgin-to-Pidgin
 sees nothing.  I still cannot see background color formatting.
