 I actually really really like this idea. My one concern is that if (at the
 moment) there is some vague consistency of coloring for the same people in
 the same room over multiple instances of pidgin (or joins of the room)
 then this patch would make that much less likely since speaking order
 would affect things. If there isn't any consistency (and I seem to recall
 people complaining about that being a problem) then I don't see any down-
 sides to this idea.
