 Re-posting of the original report (Ticket #[ticket/10045]), incorrect
 behavior still observed in Pidgin 2.6.2 Win32, while adding new ICQ
 account, popping up error message:

 Unable to sign on as [UIN] because the username is invalid.
 Usernames must be a valid email address, or start with a letter and
 contain only letters, numbers and spaces, or contain only numbers.
 }}}
 I was unable to find steps to reproduce it, as it occured just once, when
 first time attempted to create ICQ account. After Pidgin restart, error
 was gone, even when tried to create another dummy ICQ account.[[BR]]
 Accidental insertion of non-digit characters in the UIN was not the case.
 (Double checked for blank spaces and zero-width Unicode control
 characters, for whatever sake those could've got in [non-en_us OS
 locale]).[[BR]]
 Additional fields were also filled -- User options/Local alias and
 password for the account, if that makes any difference.[[BR]]
 As a workaround exists for this defect, it should be considered of lower
 priority.
