 Sorry for the convoluted post above, not sure how to delete yet

 This is a duplicate of the above bug, using the debug window, you'll see
 dnssrv: Couldn't look SRV record. DNS name does not exist. (9003)

 I replaced libpurple.dll with the patched version, and this acts as
 expected.

 dhalik, give it a try and if it doesn't do the trick, post the output in
 the debug window.
