 my bad, was too terse. I meant a name for the connection, so an additional
 field.

 Yeah, close this as 'not target audience' and, if you want, add a note to
 docs WRT the above.

 I'll just use either one of the other available IRC clients or change my
 dyndns setup to wildcards for this host.

 No point in pidgin developers losing too much time over an uncommon
 scenario.
