 For Pidgin to work with Yahoo you require SSL connectivity.

 Please provide the debug log of your attempt to connect to a yahoo
 account.
 Also you will need to provide us with packet capture of official yahoo
 client signing in. This will help pinpoint the problem preventing Pidgin
 from working, when yahoo client works fine.

 Follow [wiki:TipsForBugReports the instructions] to get a debug log and
 attach it to this ticket.[[BR]]
 If you need help in obtaining packet capture, let us know.
