Comment:

 I tried to reverse engineer the issue.  the trace says no proxy , but I am
 using one.

 in my Internet connection proxy settings I have in fact a xxx.pac file.

 If I go in and manually work out how to set the proxy up from the pac
 file. I can put that in the proxy settings for Y! SSL.  Otherwise the
 trace says there is no proxy.

 So I assume that the standard Yahoo client can decode or get the
 information from my PC environment
