 When I insert only a newline (which is probably really a newline+carriage
 return since I'm on Windows), the message box collapses to be too small.
 This resolves itself enough to read the text when I start typing actual
 letters, but it is annoying.

 I've attached a picture to show what it does after I put in the newline.
