 Ok so, here are some remarks:

 * I have a AZERTY keyboard. Numeric keys needs to maintain Shift towrite a
 number. When I don't hold Shift, it writes the following chars: &é"'(-è_çà
 instead of 1234567890. In Pidgin Alt+Shift+# works but it would be cool
 for Alt+# to work

 * Alt+# is not mentioned on the wiki page [shortcuts]

 * and again, Ctrl+# would be cool
