 We definitely don't need both alt-# and ctrl-#. I'm not sure either one is
 better than the other and I'm not sure changing at this point is a good
 idea.

 The shortcuts page is in the wiki feel free to edit it (I'm not at all
 sure what the current shortcuts page is useful for to be honest).

 Do the things that currently accept ctrl-# not require you to hold shift
 for them to work? If they don't that strikes me as a particularly poor
 idea as it means you lose an entire set of possible key combinations (and
 can't possibly use the non-shifted keys with control, in case something
 actually wanted to use them). Also, a plugin could likely add ctrl-#
 bindings if it wanted to.
