Comment:

 OTR is solely responsible for adding those tabs to messages (the
 whitespace mixture is how it ''detects'' if a buddy uses OTR). You can
 disable OTR on a per-buddy basis if you do not want your messages to
 contain the tabs, but there's nothing going on here that's a Pidgin issue.
