 I attempt to connect to a server running Jabber XCP 5.8 that has
 Httpbinding enabled using the BOSH settings on PIDGIN 2.6.1. Watching the
 debug window during the connection, I can see a successful connection to
 the server, and I can see my buddy list in the debug window, then I get
 the error
 g_log: purple_base64_decode: assertion `str!=NULL` failed

 The Buddy List window stays blank and at the bottom it just says
 Connecting...
