 Pidgin had been running for 15+ days. During that time, I've installed
 Apache and PHP 5.3. I am running Windows 7.

 I have seen several tickets open and closed for this issue but Pidgin
 developers need to look into this because it prevents normal users from
 using the software.

 Pidgin is loading the first aspell-15.dll that the system returns which is
 (normally) resolved through the system's %PATH% variable. When PHP is
 installed it adds it's own path to the beginning of %PATH%. This means the
 system will load the DLL from PHP and not Aspell.

 Pidgin should load Aspell's DLL, not the first one returned by the system.
 This can be done by explicitly declaring which DLL Pidgin should load in
 it's configuration files. If Pidgin developers are not willing to fix this
 issue, I suggest they remove Aspell from the Pidgin installer bundle.
