 This is that issue.

 You need to run `nslookup -type=srv _xmpp-client._tcp.gmail.com` (no '<'
 or '>', "tcp", not "tcip", and you're missing a few spaces), but it will
 also time out.

 Set the connect server like the FAQ suggests.
