Comment:

 If you use the GTK+ distributed with Pidgin 2.6.2 (2.14.7) with the MS-
 Windows theme, the beeping with be disabled by default, otherwise
 following the instructions in the [wiki:"Using
 Pidgin#PidginbeepswheneverIpressbackspacehowdoIdisablethat" FAQ].
