Comment:

 Configuring selective notifications in guifications is possible.  Just set
 each group's Guifications Theme (right click the group) to None.  Then set
 each buddy you actually want notifications for to any theme other than
 None.  (Make sure you have at least one theme enabled on the Themes tab in
 the Guifications configuration window.)
