 When following an xmpp link to a MUC room(e.g.,
 xmpp:posscon at chat.speeqe.com), Pidgin opens the location in IM style
 instead of MUC.  This causes the user to not receive any messages that are
 posted and the following error message to be reported when trying to send
 a message

 Message delivery to posscon at chat.speeqe.com failed: It is not allowed to
 send private messages to the conference (Code 406)

 Using default version from Ubuntu karmic repositories -- 2.6.2
