 So far so good.  Everything works fine in connecting with my contacts.

 I've reactivated all but 2 of the plugins that were installed when the bug
 was present (and deactivated most subsequently).

 But since I haven't added any new contacts, don't know if the connection
 problems were only caused by the crossed account-contact entries, which in
 turn were caused by a bug in one of the plugins, or possibly pidgin or
 libpurple.[[BR]]
 In that case, it would probably be version 2.6.6, which was installed when
 the contact entry with the corruption was added.

 And there is always the possibility of a transient malfunction in the
 Yahoo or MSN networks.

 Anyway, I'll test the 2 remaining plugins in the next few days.
