 I just tried to update my local PHP5 installation (which is included on my
 PATH) and was unable to do so because "glib.dll" was in use. After closing
 Pidgin I was able to remove/update the GLib library included with PHP.

 The tentative conclusion is that Pidgin is using the "glib.dll" library
 included with PHP 5.3 (which is available on my PATH) instead of resorting
 to its local copy (in "Gtk/bin/libglib-2.0-0.dll").

 Not sure if this is really a defect per se; but I guess it kinda defeats
 the purpose of including a local copy of GTK along with Piding...
