Comment:

 It is unfortunate that the crash report doesn't contain anything useful.

 I'm guessing that this is a "DLL Hell" type of problem - you have some
 sort of incompatible DLL with the same name as one of Pidgin's
 dependencies in your Path.  This happened frequently with older versions
 when you had PHP in your Path.

 The other likely possibility is that it is caused by a software firewall
 that is crashing the pidgin process.
