 I have lots of problems when using pidgin with my unstable internet
 connection.
 My router often needs to reconnect, because the adsl signal is quite low
 and jammed.

 Pidgin is capable of detecting the disconnection, but it loses either
 incoming or outgoing messages that are sent in the period of time between
 the real disconnection and the disconnection event detected by pidgin.

 This is what it should happen:
 - try to re-send messages to the other contact, until they are received
 - show messages that were sent by the other contact, when reconnecting
 (note that gmail shows them in the chat logs, so they are actually
 present)
