 Anyway, crash may be easily re-produced:

 1. use skype4pidgin pidgin plug-in
 2. add new buddy for skype plug-in, using phone as ID (starting from +)
 3. mouse over this buddy - crash

 same problem affect next version of pidgin: 2.6.5
