 Yes, there is a patch sitting on this trac to add new GG features and fix
 several bugs, and in fact that ticket is the one I'm marking this as a
 duplicate of.  However, that patch does not compile on Windows.  Since
 over half our users are on Windows, and on Linux we can compile against an
 out-of-tree libgadu, we're not willing to apply the patch until it works
 for everyone.  Note also that the patch doesn't apply cleanly and has some
 other issues, which makes integration even more difficult.
