 The clientLogin authentication method is brand new and has only been
 implemented since Pidgin 2.6.0, and only been on by default since either
 Pidgin 2.6.2 or 2.6.3.  The fact that Pidgin worked a year ago is thus
 irrelevant to this particular problem.
