Comment:

 After some discussion with deryni in our XMPP MUC, we came to the
 conclusion that, although we both feel it's an ugly hack, we could try a
 solution in which we hijack the existing SSL proxy option and repurpose it
 to affect both HTTP and HTTPS.  I did this ''only'' for the intial login
 process for testing purposes.  To test this, install Pidgin 2.7.1 and then
 replace libymsg.dll, libyahoo.dll, and libyahoojp.dll with the ones I have
 attached to this ticket.
