 I have the same issue using the PortableApps.com release of Pidgin. I
 tried both suggestions from the Pidgin Help/FAQ (
 http://developer.pidgin.im/wiki/Using%20Pidgin#win32_gtk_theme ) each not
 working. Any help would be greatly appreciated since the default theme is
 hard on the eyes.
