 No, I have not received any error from the application. Correct, I do not
 see any logs being created. In fact, I checked my log folder and it seems
 I do not have any logs as of 2/25 @ 1:15am, and I am an avid chatter.  :-)
 Logging is enabled in chat windows and under preferences. I even disabled
 it, clicked ok out of the preferences window, and then went back in to
 enable it again. No change.  :-(

 Hmm... if this is correct, it looks like I installed the latest update
 (2.6.6) for pidgin on 2/11/10 at 8:40pm. Maybe its not the actual update
 that is the reason its not logging conversation history? Could it be
 another change that was made on my system somewhere? I am running XP.
