 I experience this regularly and only manually set away/available rarely.
 Whilst I agree that it's not a show stopper it does look silly and without
 fail confuses friends. It seems there should be a relatively simple
 solution that works in all cases: for example, auto-away replaces existing
 status, cancellation of away restores old status. MSN users would either
 not set auto-away text or would set it, but would get their old status
 back after.
