 Update:

 1) While pidgin was loading I quickly disabled all accounts and pidgin
 isn't crashing anymore.

 2) After activating each account one by one to see which one is causing
 the problem, the program crashed only after I activated the google talk
 xmpp account.

 3) After disabling google talk account the program crashed once again
 while hovering over menus.

 4) After disabling the MSN account there was no crashing whatsoever
