 For the record: I have seen the issue dandv reported happen on Windows at
 work, that is where focus gets incorrectly transferred to some other tab
 (and/or nowhere) when new tabs are opened but have seen no discernible
 pattern as to when this happens.

 hippocampa: Are you still seeing your issue? I apologize that your request
 for more specific instructions as to how to install an older GTK+ version
 went unanswered.

 If the original issue is no longer occurring we may want to open a new
 ticket for the intermittent issues dandv and I have seen.
